One Great Evening

Friday nights' opening drew a really nice turnout. A ton of work sold, most of it was to the LA folks that I've been working with on the film "Unstoppable." I was finally able to debut a functional art table, something that I have wanted to do for some time now. Everyone seemed really into it, I think I will do half and half at my next show (half hanging art and half tables). Jeremy Beightol's work was a nice counterbalance to mine, we were really happy with the final curation. Now that the work is complete I am scrambling to get prints produced in the next few weeks. The website is getting a revamp and all purchases will be made through my new shop that is getting put in...can't wait to get things movin!

It's creeping up rather quickly! Panic mode has officially kicked in, although it all seems to be coming together. This December 4th will be the opening night for the Jesse Best & Jeremy Beightol exhibit at Modern Formations gallery. Should be one heck of a night...spirits will be drank, friends will be made. Hope you all can join us in the fun.

Unstoppable

So I've been working 70hrs a week on the film Unstoppable (art dept) and then double timing on the weekends painting new work for my upcoming show. As crazy as it's been, things are coming together rather well. My duel exhibit with Jeremy Beightol opens December 4th at Modern Formations gallery in Pittsburgh. This series will have a number of new character based pieces which have been a lot of fun to create. Crime. betrayal. Old timey fun.

All the votes were tallied for this years Spring Salon at Modern Formations and it turns out I am the grand prize winner! There were some great artist in the show and tons of work. Jeremy Beightol had two really gnarly paintings which I would like to hang in my living room. I look forward to showing my work at MF in the future...big thanks to all the nice people who voted for me.

Well spring has almost sprung and I have just started a new series of paintings. Looks like my next solo exhibit will be at Weisshouse sometime in late summer early fall. (date should be locked down shortly)
